A 50% deposit is required, with the full balance due prior to delivery or collection of the order. Products will not be dispatched until balances are settled.

All orders remain the property of Umabix (PTY) LTD trading as Sofas Inc™ until payment has been received.

Manufacturing lead time of orders is stated on the product page. This may vary from time to time depending on production output and order volume.

Payment Methods & Options

Card Payments: We accept online payments via credit or debit card through the secure Yoco payment gateway. You can pay directly from your invoice using the integrated payment option or via a dedicated payment page, accessible through the link provided on your invoice. Card payments are also accepted in-store.

Mobicred: Mobicred is a flexible revolving credit facility that allows you to shop online safely and conveniently. We offer Mobicred as a payment option. If you wish to use Mobicred, we will provide an additional link on your invoice, directing you to the Mobicred payment page hosted by PayFast. Please note that a Mobicred account is required to use this method, and the full invoice amount will be processed via Mobicred. learn more here.

Lay-By: We offer a lay-by option, allowing you to split your purchase into three equal monthly instalments. Your order will be delivered upon completion of the final instalment, two months after the first payment.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): Payment via EFT is accepted. Banking details will be provided on your invoice.

Cash: Cash payments can be made in-store.
Upholstery Fabric & Fabric Finishes

The display images for products are representative of the finished product. The fabric used on the display items is inclusive of the fabric that is available in the Fabric Portfolio as well as limited edition fabrics that are not part of a continuous supply.

Display images used are to portray the design of the sofa as well as the upholstery methods used. Exact fabric and fabric range used on the display images is stated under the 'Fabric' section on the product page. Be advised that the price of the design varies based on fabric range chosen. The price for each fabric range is stated on the product page.

There are more fabric options available in-store, as not every textile is listed in the Fabric Portfolio.

Every effort is made to ensure that fabrics represented in the Fabric Portfolio will be identical to what is received, although slight variations may be apparent in person due to light variations, screen resolutions, texture variations and different dye batches. Please come and view the fabrics prior to ordering if you are concerned.

We have seven ranges of upholstery fabrics to choose from, which are priced accordingly and can be viewed in the Fabric Portfolio as well as in-store.

Some fabric collections in-store that have not been listed and are not included in any fabric range, are subject to individual quotation.

The FibreGuard & Carefree fabric range includes FibreGuard fabrics as well as Hertex Carefree fabrics.

Our sofas are wrapped prior to delivery or collection, and this is to protect them during transportation. Please do not leave our sofas wrapped for extended periods of time as this will create an environment for mould to thrive, that could potentially damage the upholstery fabric.

MasterGuard can be added as an additional extra to our Sahara, Dune, Etosha, Oasis & Corduroy fabric ranges. The Fibreguard & Carefree, as well as the Kalahari fabric ranges have built in protection.

Dimensions

Sofa & Beanbag sizes are given through accurate dimensions, although these dimensions may vary slightly due to pre-upholstery covering and other influencing factors. Please ensure your space will accommodate the product.

Collection & Delivery

Collection Options: Customers are welcome to collect their orders directly from our facility. Collection details, including the address and suitable pickup times, will be communicated once your order is ready.

Delivery Costs: Delivery Costs are calculated based on the size of your order and delivery distance. These costs are exclusive of the listed product prices.

Local Deliveries: We work with a trusted local courier to deliver within Cape Town and it's surrounding areas.

National Deliveries: For deliveries nationwide, we collaborate with reliable third-party couriers to provide secure and timely transportation of your order.

Delivery Scheduling: Toward the end of the manufacturing lead time, our team will contact you to arrange delivery dates and times that are convenient for you. Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to keep you informed and accommodate your schedule.

Customer Preparation: To ensure a smooth delivery process, please ensure your space is prepared to accommodate the product. If there are any access restrictions (e.g., narrow doorways, multiple staircases, or difficult-to-access locations), kindly inform us in advance to help us plan accordingly.
Guarantee

Proof of purchase is required for all guarantee claims.

The guarantee does not cover defects in products due to abuse, misuse, or breakage by the customer, it is only valid for inherent fabric defects and manufacturing flaws.

The framework of the sofas is guaranteed for 20 years against manufacturing defects. Foam seating, fibre filling, webbing, springs and stitching is guaranteed for 3 years against manufacturing defects.

CloudComfort™ inner filling is guaranteed for 3 years against manufacturing defects.
-
The guarantee does not extend to fabric defects due to wear and tear, although fabrics are guaranteed against inherent defects for 2 years.
Refund and Return Policy
In-stock Products:
These are ready-made products available for immediate purchase directly from the Seller’s showroom floor.

Products can be returned for a replacement or refund within 7 days of delivery, provided:

The item is unused, in its original condition, free from damage, and sufficiently covered and secured to prevent any transit-related damage.

Delivery charges are non-refundable, as they cover third-party costs, and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

A 5% handling fee will be deducted from the refund amount to cover administrative and processing costs.
Custom-Made and Made-to-Order Products:

Custom-made and made-to-order products are non-refundable and non-returnable due to their personalised nature.

However, if there is a discrepancy between the final product and the agreed-upon design or specifications, we will make every reasonable effort to rectify the issue and work with you to reach a satisfactory resolution.
Defective Products:

If you receive a product that is defective or has been damaged during transit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Depending on the extent of the defect, we will repair, or replace the product.
