Store Policy

Customer Orders

  • A 50% deposit is required, with the full balance due prior to delivery or collection of the product. Products will not be dispatched until balances are settled.

  • All orders remain the property of Umabix (PTY) LTD trading as Sofas Inc® until payment has been received. 

  • Manufacturing lead time of orders is stated on the product page. This may vary from time to time depending on production output and order volume.

    • Current lead time: EARLY 2025 DELIVERY (2024 ORDER BOOK AT CAPACITY)

  • Sofas available immediately are apart of our Off The Floor selection, and can be viewed at our showroom location.

Payment Methods
Payment Methods & Options

  • Card Payments: Online payments can be made using a credit/debit card through the Yoco secured payment gateway. Direct payments can be made from your invoice. Additionally, a link will be provided on your invoice that will take you to the Yoco payment page. Card payments can also be made in-store.

  • Mobicred: Mobicred is a simple and convenient revolving credit facility that allows you to safely shop online. We offer Mobicred as a payment option. If you would like to purchase a product using Mobicred, we will generate an additional link on your invoice that will take you to the Mobicred payment page (hosted by PayFast). You must have a Mobicred account to pay using this method, and the full invoice balance will be processed through Mobicred. learn more here.

  • Lay-Bye: Orders can be purchased on lay-by through three equal instalments (1 month apart). You will receive your order on the final instalment date (2 months from the first instalment date).

Upholstery Fabric & Fabric Finishes

  • The display images for products are representative of the finished product. The fabric used on the display items is inclusive of the fabric that is available in the Fabric Portfolio as well as limited edition fabrics that are not part of a continuous supply.

  • Display images used are to portray the design of the sofa as well as the upholstery methods used. Exact fabric and fabric range used on the display images is stated under the 'Fabric' section on the product page. Be advised that the price of the design varies based on fabric range chosen. The price for each fabric range is stated on the product page.

  • There are more fabric options available in-store, as not every textile is listed in the Fabric Portfolio. 

  • Every effort is made to ensure that fabrics represented in the Fabric Portfolio will be identical to what is received, although slight variations may be apparent in person due to light variations, texture variations and different dye batches. Please come and view the fabrics prior to ordering if you are concerned. 

  • We have six ranges of upholstery fabrics to choose from, which are priced accordingly and can be viewed in the Fabric Portfolio as well as in-store. 

  • Some fabric collections in-store that have not been listed and are not included in any fabric range, are subject to individual quotation.

  • The FibreGuard & Carefree fabric range includes FibreGuard fabrics as well as Hertex carefree fabrics.

  • The Kalahari fabric range includes FibreGuard fabrics. 

  • Collections included in the FibreGuard & Carefree fabric range: PROPOSITION, FELLOW & PEAK (FIBREGUARD) - CITYSCAPE (HERTEX)

  • Collections included in the Kalahari fabric range: BOLT, IMPACT, COLOURWASH, PERFECTO, AMBIANT, KRONOS, TRAILBLAZER, ZENA, DYNAMO, DELUXE & FIESTA

  • Our sofas are wrapped prior to delivery or collection, and this is to protect them during transportation. Please do not leave our sofas wrapped for extended periods of time as this will create an environment for mould to thrive, that could potentially damage the upholstery fabric.

  • MasterGuard can be added as an additional extra to our Sahara, Dune, Etosha & Corduroy fabric ranges. The Fibreguard & Carefree, as well as the Kalahari fabric ranges have built in protection.

Dimensions

  • Sofa & Beanbag sizes are given through accurate dimensions, although these dimensions may vary slightly due to pre-upholstery covering and other influencing factors. Please ensure your space will accommodate the product.

Collection & Delivery 

  • Delivery costs are exclusive of listed prices and calculated based on size of order as well as delivery distance.

  • Products can either be collected or delivered. If our delivery services are used, we will contact you back with the details of delivery and organise a date and time that would suit you.

Guarantee 
Guarantee

  • Proof of purchase is required for any guarantee claim. 

  • The guarantee does not cover defects in products due to abuse and breakage by the customer, it is only valid for inherent fabric defects and manufacturing flaws.

  • The framework of the sofas is guaranteed for 20 years. Internal foam, fibre filling, webbing, springs and stitching is guaranteed for 3 years.

  • CoudComfort™ inner filling is guaranteed for 3 years.

  • The guarantee does not extend to fabric defects due to wear and tear, although fabrics are guaranteed against inherent defects for 2 years.

Refund and Return Policy 

  • Products will be replaced or a full refund will be given within 7 days of purchase, as long as the item has not been used and in its original condition. Delivery charges will not be refunded and the full refund will be subject to a 5% handling fee deduction.

  • Custom-made products that have been designed and built specifically for you will not be able to be refunded (this includes 'made-to-order' products). Although if the requirements and specifications were not met to your satisfaction, we will do everything we can to amend the problem.
